As an L Nitrocellulose Exporter, share with you.

Hazardous characteristics: spontaneous ignition point 170 ℃. The flash point is 12.78℃. Detonation speed: 6300m/s (13% nitrogen). Detonation gas volume is 841L/kg (when nitrogen is 13.3%). This product will burn and explode when it encounters Mars, high temperature, oxidant and most organic amines (p-xylylenediamine, etc.). If the temperature exceeds 40 ℃, it can decompose spontaneously. This product is dry and stored for a long time, and it is very easy to cause spontaneous combustion. Generally, water or ethanol is added as a wetting agent. If the humectant volatilizes, fire may easily occur. Nitrogen content below 12.5% is a class 1 flammable solid.

Fire-fighting measures: Use water or mist water to extinguish the fire. It is strictly forbidden to cover with sand to avoid violent explosion.

First aid: The patient should leave the scene immediately, place in a fresh air place, and rinse the injured with clean water. Severe cases should be sent to hospital for treatment immediately.

Notice for storage and transportation: Packaging mark: (less than 12.5% nitrogen content) flammable solid. (Over 12.5% nitrogen content) explosives. Packing method: glass bottle, wooden box for external use, cushioned with non-combustible soft material. Or metal drums or cans, lined with plastic bags. Storage and transportation conditions: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse, the temperature in the warehouse should not exceed 30 ℃, away from fire and heat sources. Separated from organic amines and oxidants for storage and transportation. During the storage and transportation period, you must master the first-in first-out, and the damaged packaging should be repaired in time. Wetting agent should be checked frequently for drying, and wetting agent should be added if necessary. In order to make the moisture distribution even, the packaging can be put upside down (except for reagents) after a certain period of storage (such as 5 months), and then adjusted after a period of time. Handle with care when handling to prevent damage to the packaging.

What is nitrocellulose? Due to the unstable nature of nitrocellulose, it is flammable and explosive. When the temperature exceeds 40℃, it can accelerate decomposition and spontaneous combustion occurs. It is safe when it contains 25% water, so add about 30% ethanol or water as a wetting agent during storage and transportation to increase stability. The nitrocellulose water should be dried before use. Special attention should be paid to safety. It is best to use a water oven. If an electric oven is used for temperature control, it must be desirable. The oven door must not be closed to prevent explosion. During the middle observation, people should not open the door to the oven to prevent accidents. Stored in a cool, ventilated special warehouse, the temperature does not exceed 30 ℃, away from fire and heat sources.
